Audiences are eager to reconnect with Pee-wee Herman as the loony playhouse host heads to Broadway on October 26 in The Pee-wee Herman Show. Prior to moving into the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, Pee-wee's creator, comic actor Paul Reubens, spent some time with W magazine to recall his childhood and the many influences that created Pee-wee's crazy world (Jambi the Genie's box can be attributed to Reubens' grandmother's jewelry holder...and old Polaroids of Liberace!) The magazine also had Reubens suit up in Herman's signature gray suit and red bow tie, before donning his own stylish Calvin Klein shirt and jeans, to go head-to-head with his alter ego for a photo shoot by Marco Grob.
